We Care About Our Community
We support the BC SPCA, Kootenay Animal Assistance Program and HEART Rescue by providing discounted care on surgeries and treatments for the pets in their care. Some of our staff even foster for these rescues as well. Learn more about these wonderful organizations and you will see why we care so much about helping them out.
BC SPCA
The BC SPCA is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the quality of life for BC's domestic, farm and wild animals.
They are the only animal welfare organization in the province with the authority to enforce animal cruelty laws. They are the largest animal welfare organization of their kind in North America and the largest animal sheltering society in the world.
Kootenay Animal Assistance Program (KAAP)
KAAP was founded to meet the needs of homeless and disadvantaged pets who might otherwise fall between the cracks.
This incredible animal rescue organization is a 100% volunteer-run registered charity. KAAP is a no-kill rescue agency, making all animals in their care are available for adoption.
HEART Rescue
HEART Rescue is dedicated to removing dogs from neglectful situations in remote communities across Western Canada and finding loving forever homes for these loving pets in the Kootenays.
HEART also works directly with frontline rescue agencies to raise awareness about neglect and provide veterinary care for pets in these under-serviced communities.
