What to Expect

From the moment you walk through our doors, our team will do everything they can to make you and your pet feel comfortable and welcome.

1. Get Settled

Please arrive about 10 minutes early to fill out our New Patient Form (if applicable). If you'd like to save some time, you can complete the form online in advance.

2. Provide Pet Medical History

Once an examination room is ready, a member of our staff will escort you and your pet to the room and ask you for a few details about your pet's health and medical history.

3. Meet Your Veterinarian

Your veterinarian will introduce themselves to you and your beloved companion, review the medical history you provided and listen to any concerns you may have about your pet's health.

4. Exam, Diagnosis & Treatment

Once your furry friend feels comfortable, your veterinarian will perform a thorough examination and provide you with a diagnosis and options for treatment. They will also answer any questions you may have.

A detailed report of your pet's diagnosis and treatment plan will be kept in our system for future reference.

Our Pet Care Philosophy

Our team is committed to practicing our profession with excellence and compassion. We are proud to be AAHA accredited, which allows us to uphold a high standard of veterinary care. Many members of our team are also Fear Free certified which gives them the skills they need to provide kind and gentle care to every patient, including those who are nervous to come visit us.

We believe in providing our patients with gentle, compassionate care while providing pet parents with vital lifestyle and nutritional guidance designed to optimize their devoted companions' health and happiness.

We proudly serve pet owners from across Nelson, Kaslo, Nakusp, Castlegar, Trail, Fruitvale, Salmo, Grand Forks, Christina Lake and beyond.
